Hard Cover. , A collection of short scripted stories about day to day life in Hollywood, from its heyday era of the late 1920's and early 30's, Discovered by movie pioneer Thomas Ince, was a wildly popular star of silent pictures typically cast as a callow country youth who overcomes his insecurities and lack of sophistication to win the heroine at the end of each picture; he was, according to a recent PBS documentary, Harold Lloyd - The Third Genius (Chaplin and Keaton the first and second), a major influence on Lloyd's development of his comic silent-screen persona.
