    Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Hardcover with dust jacket. Bound with light blue cloth over boards, dark blue lettering on spine. Covers are lightly toning along top and bottom edges, light rubbing at crown and foot of spine. Binding is tight and secure. DJ is lightly toned with chipping at corners and foot of spine, clear tape along crown of spine and front top corner, wrapped in protective mylar. Pages are clean, crisp, and bright with light uniform toning. Printed in B&W. 282 pages. Title page dated 1946. Copyright page dated 1946. Stated First Edition. Signed by Author on front free endpaper, inscribed "For Ruth + Mae with affection. 'A man that hath friends must show himself friendly, and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.'" A very good copy. This volume comes from the Broadcasting collection of Prof. Chris Sterling. Sterling was a professor of media and public affairs at George Washington University and an avid book collector.
