De plus, cette Suite se trouve insérée dans le recueil des uvres de Saint-Martin, paru à titre posthume en 1808 (Londres, Imprimerie de la Société Philosophique, 1808).

This work is apparently a counterfeit sequel to that work, attributed to Charles de Suze, author of Clef des Erreurs et de la Vérité. The work has also been attributed to Holbach and Condorcet. The present work reviews a number of the questions dealt with in the genuine work by Saint-Martin such as good and evil, liberty and necessity, but developing however the very antithesis of the teachings of Saint-Martin. Louis-Claude de Saint-Martin (1743-1803), French philosopher, known as 'le philosophe inconnu', the name under which his works were published. He came under the influence of Martinez de Pasquales who taught a species of mysticism drawn from cabbalistic sources, and endeavoured to found thereon a secret cult with magical rites.
