Full leather. Condition: Good. Later edition. 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 524 pages; 1658 Printed for Luke Fawne, London. A later edition. [28], 524, [18] p. Early leather boards with a recent but complementary rebacking, Four raised bands to spine; title lettering tooled in gilt. Original, engraved title page is chipped and missing an inch or more swath from the gutter forward including about 1/4 inch from the engraved illustration - but all title lettering and imprint lettereing remains. A narrow jagged chip of loss from the top edge into the image surface. Full title page supplied in facsimile and tipped to a stub. Front and rear pastedowns lacking but front blank present with an 1831 prior owner inscription. Contents complete save for loss to title page, and presumable 2 pages of advertisemt which may have been a terminal leaf. (18) page "Alphabetical Table" (index) at rear. A small cresent stain of oil or wax to the lower front corner of the first 15 or so leaves intrude into the text on only the first several printed leaves. Shallow chipping to the same pages at the lower corner tip. Small instance of worming in the top margin of pages 30 - 100. Front blank and A2 have had some paper supplied to the lower corners; no loss of text on A2. Occasional period notation and underlining. Margins trimmed and narrow in the latter two books with occasional minor loss to the printed margin notes. Solid and decent. Good copy, thus.
