Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. A profusely illustrated study of the illustrated book from Albrecht Durer to Ronald Searle. Although the values, mentioned throughout the text, may have become outdated, there is much useful information here for the collector. The book was published in a limited edition of 2,500 copies (it says), this being one of only 500 copies that were casebound. There is a hint of browning to edges and endpapers, but a near fine copy in a near fine dust jacket. MC.

Boards spotted and rubbed; corners bumped and worn; spine slightly cocked, discoloured, fraying at head and tail; small hole to rear joint. Endpapers heavily foxed; scattered spots and marks to pages elsewhere. Gutters starting to crack in a couple of places but binding holding firm.
