Red Boards. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Type: Z A set of 15 volumes, comprising of the magazine British European Airways bound in red volumes. Starts at Volume 1, No 1 - christmas 1946 and is a complete run through to December 1962. Each volume contains 10 magazines bound with their front covers and all contemporary advertisements. Bound uniformly in red boards with the first 4 volumes being a lighter shade of red and with B.E.A. Magazine embossed in gilt to the spines - the other volumes having B.E.A. Magazine and also the year embossed onto the spines. Numerous b/w photographic images throughout illustrate the magazines. Light fading to the spines of the first four volumes and the head and tail of a few spines have been bumped. There is the odd soil mark to one or two boards and some light scattered staining /mottling to the boards of the volumes 1953, 1954, 1956, 1957 and 1958. A little light foxing scattered to the end papers. There is an ink name stamp to the head of the front end paper of the 1960 volume. The textblocks are all fresh, clean and tight. A very good set.
