First Edition Signed
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good Minus. 1st Edition. First Edition ( 'First published in 1980'). A rare signed copy, the only one on the Internet without a personalized inscription. Mary Cheever has simply flat-signed her name on the blank first front end paper. You can see the covers of the book in the photos provided. There is some color fading off the top and bottom edges of the front and rear covers, especially the rear cover. The edges and corners are in very good condition. The gilt lettering on the spine is very bright. The book is square and very solidly bound from cover to cover, nicely tight pages, no binding issues. There are no creases or dogeared corners on any of the pages. There is no soiling on any of the pages. However, there was a small spillage of water on the maroon part of the cover just off the bottom edge. While while you wouldn't likely notice it on the cover (I didn't see the slight darkening there) there was a pinkish bleeding onto the pages just off their bottom edge. It begins with the inside covers and end papers, both the front and rear, and diminishing disappears by page 6 in the front and by page 120 from the back. There are 129 pages. If that explanation was a little unclear, there is no pink stain between pages 6 and 120. You can judge its importance to you by looking at the photo of the signed page. Finishing up, there are no markings in the book. No attachments. And with the exception of the author's signature, no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. Signed by Author(s).
