Cloth. Condition: Near fine. Dust Jacket Condition: very good. First edition of Chéri by Colette in the scarce dust jacket. (illustrator). First Edition, Second Printing. Octavo, 227pp. Gray cloth, title in maroon on spine and front cover. Top edge dyed maroon. Stated "Second Printing, August, 1929" on copyright page. Solid text block, light foxing to spine, a touch of toning to edges. A near fine example. Complete with ten illustrated plates, including frontispiece. In the publisher's dust jacket, $2.50 retail price on front flap, sunning to spine and covers, some shelf wear, chipping to edges. A beautifully illustrated piece.
