Soft cover. Condition: Good. 4th Edition. Undated fourth edition (printing?). First published in November 1938. Small 8vo. Blue stapled photo-illustrated covers. 32 pages. Name and date inscribed in blue ink on the title page. Affixed inside the front and back covers are two real picture postal cards that were apparently purchased at the I-Yee-Quee Gift Shop in Hoopa, California. The card in the front cover is partially loose. A little light creasing noted to the bottom corners of the covers. Two old bookmarks have left some tanning behind where they were placed years ago. Overall, a nice copy in good condition.

Chief Eaglewing was a Klameth Indian, respected for contributing to preserving Californian Native American culture. He and his wife were authors of the 'Peek-Wa Stories'. Chief Eagelwing also worked with Univ. of California's Dept. of Anthropology, travelled, lectured and acted in Hollywood's silent films. (2) notices laid-in: (1) San Francisco Chronicle 1947 ad for Chief Eaglewing's Indian dance performances at the Emporium dept. store. (2) Printed sheet of Indian Code of Ethics. Nice overall condition - offsetting to title page from laid-in advertisements. Size: 8vo - over 7¾. Signed by Author(s). Book.
