Soft cover. Condition: Good. Softcover with tan wraps, deep blue lettering across covers. Spine detached, tucked into the front of the book, so page binding is visible. Strong and well-glued. A few scuffs to back cover and chips along edges, but covers are overall neat. Title page dated 1949. No separate copyright page. 333 pages. All clean, lightly and evenly toned. Tape reinforces binding of covers to pages along the gutters, but pages themselves are bound tightly. This volume came from the Lincoln Brower collection, though it does not have his name in it. We ve got a wonderful bookcase or two of books from Lincoln Brower s collection listed here. Everything you know about Monarch Butterflies, you know because of Brower s work, both scientific and outreach. He was a great teacher, an important researcher, a torch-bearing conservationist, and a leading light in lepidoptery. We are extremely excited to offer his books. Please email with questions or to request photos. Note: if there is a photo beside this listing, it s a STOCK photo that ABE put there (for reasons that we cannot understand or control) and might not match this actual book.
