Unpaginated, 49pp. Original black French wrappers with illustrated pasted down white label on cover and black lettering on label of spine. Surrealist collaboration of Chrisholm and André Masson with poems by Chrisholm and two tipped-in b/w reproductions of Masson's drawings. Wrappers are rubbed with very light scuffing and small chips around head and tail of spine. Printed label on spine chipped but print clearly readable. Light offsetting of inside wrapper flaps to opposite page endpapers. Wrappers in overall good, interior in very good condition.

A few volumes have wear to ends of spine, otherwise excellent condition. Top edges red, in many volumes partly faded. Some spines a little faded. Bound in uniform textured brown leather, gilt. Endpapers browned, but uncracked at gutters. Printed on 'Britannica India Paper.' Size: c.1100pp per vol, illus, 22 x 17 cm. No ownership marks.
