    Unframed. Condition: Very Good. Chris Orgill (illustrator). Original. Watercolour bird identification plate of 10 pigeons (Columbidae) of The Atlantic Islands, an original work for Tony Clarke's Helm publication, Birds of the Atlantic Islands 2004. The image measures approximately 330mm x 260 mm plus plain margins of 20mm approx. The illustration is dated 04 and signed in pencil to the bottom right hand corner. Condition is fine. The individual studies are extremely accomplished, bright and clean. Chris has exhibited with the Society of Wildlife Artists and has had several successful solo exhibitions; he has provided illustrations for numerous books and magazines including bird identification plates, such as this, for 'Birds of the Atlantic Islands' published by A & C Black and was a winner of 'British Birds' magazines national competition 'Bird Illustrator of the Year'. His recent work is featured in a new book 'Red 67' published February 2020 by the British Trust for Ornithology, highlighting bird species of special conservation concern. Size: 330mm x 260mm.
