Library markings include call number in gilt on backstrip, perforated library name on title-page, black library name stamp on title-page and on blank back of every plate. Despite the extensive library markings and splitting along hinge on front endpaper, this copy seems crisp and perhaps uncirculated. A number of African countries had some involvement in rubber. That involvement is described in the first two chapters (pages [1]-38). Firestone's extensive involvement in Liberia did not begin until the mid 1920s.
