Vernon, WA, were established in 1964 by three brothers, Henry, John, and Anthony DeGoede, and their brother-in-law, John Conyn, as an outgrowth of their bulb-growing business. The gardens continued until the early 1970s, after which the bulb farms moved to Mossyrock, WA.
