Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. As a tropical crop, the growth cycle and yield of natural rubber are easily affected by factors such as climate change and environment. The rubber planting area in China is located on the northern edge of the tropics. In addition to being frequently affected by natural disasters such as cold… waves, droughts, and typhoons, the warm and humid climate is also very conducive to the reproduction and spread of harmful organisms. The rubber planting areas in China suffer losses of over 60000 tons of dry rubber annually due to pest and disease hazards. Therefore, strengthening the prevention and control of diseases and pests in rubber trees, effectively reducing the degree of harm, and increasing natural rubber production are important links and measures to promote the healthy development of the natural rubber industry. The authors of this book, He Chunping, a researcher at the Environment and Plant Protection Institute of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, and Liang Yanqiong, an associate researcher, have long been engaged in monitoring, early warning, and control technology research of rubber tree root rot disease. Through years of investigation and in-depth research on root rot disease in rubber planting areas in China, as well as the collection of their own research achievements in biological control technology for the root disease of rubber tree over the past decade, have compiled this book. This book is divided into five parts, the first part is screening and cultivation of biocontrol bacteria, the second part is antagonistic bacteria inhibit rubber tree diseases, the third part is isolation and identification of antifungal active substances, the fourth part is synergistic between biocontrol bacteria and chemical fungicides, and the fifth part is antifungal mechanism of biocontrol bacteria. This book provides a detailed introduction for the first time on the screening and cultivation of biocontrol bacteria for rubber tree root disease, disease inhibition effects, isolation of active substances, antifungal mechanisms, and synergistic control of microorganisms and chemical agents. It is scientific, practical, instructive, and informative. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.
