S'il est prouve que les soins hospitaliers sont meilleurs, des recommandations seront formulees a l'intention des decideurs politiques et des prestataires de soins de sante afin de permettre a toutes les femmes enceintes ayant deja accouche par cesarienne de suivre des soins prenatals et d'accoucher a l'hopital (avec la possibilite de mettre en place des maisons d'attente pour les femmes enceintes), ou de renforcer le systeme d'orientation vers les etablissements de soins obstetricaux et neonatals d'urgence, ou encore de doter les cliniques de capacites completes en matiere de soins obstetricaux et neonatals d'urgence. The primary objective of this study is to establish if attending ANC at the hospital protects mothers with previous caesarean section from late access to emergency repeat caesarean section. The study will also seek to establish if late access to emergency repeat caesarean section is associated with increased rate of stillbirths.If proven that hospital care is better; recommendations will be formulated for policy makers and health care providers to either allow all pregnant mothers with previous caesarean delivery to attend ANC and deliver at the hospital (with a possibility of maternity waiting homes provision), or strengthen the referral system to emergency obstetric and neonatal care facilities, or even empower clinics with comprehensive emergency obstetric and neonatal care capabilities. 60 pp. Englisch.
