Condition: molto buono. 2 parti in 1 vol. in-8, pp. 96; 112, legatura coeva in p. pelle, tit. e fregi in oro al dorso. Fregetti ai titoli e iniziali xilogr. decorate. Prima rara edizione dei primi due volumi della Biblioteca Volante; di quest'opera del Cinelli (1625-1706), medico e bibliografo amico del celebre bibliotecario Antonio Magliabecchi, apparvero 23 Scansie, rarissime, tutte impresse in-8. Curioso e importante catalogo disposto in ordine alfabetico e corredato di indici in cui l'autore offre informazioni su edizioni, opuscoli rari, fogli volanti (da cui la ''Biblioteca Volante'' del titolo) e personaggi, soprattutto fiorentini, della sua epoca ''nella stessa forma che familiarmente ed estemporaneamente favello''. Dopo queste prime due di Firenze, che Cinelli dovette abbandonare osteggiato da alcuni nobili della città offesi dai suoi sarcasmi, le altre Scansie uscirono irregolarmente in varie città d'Italia. Provenienza: Franciscus Martin, teologo parigino (1717). Ottimo esemplare, fresco e a grandi margini. Importante documento per la bibliografia antica.
