Cloth. Condition: Good. No Jacket. The Green boards have a gilt square on the front with what looks like a pan and his flute, there is a wrinkle near the edge of the spine on front cover. The spine has the title in very faded gilt; the corners are lightly bumped and shelf worn, the trimmed head is gilt and the fore edge is rough cut. The endpapers are a bit age yellowed and have an owner's book plate and his name on the first free endpaper, there is a 4" crack at the spine in front. The frontispiece is of John Burroughs at 20 and still has the tissue attached. There are 18 wonderful illustrations throughout the book. The interior is a bit aged, but is very clean.
