Il fut le valet de Chambre de la Reine Marie Lesczinska. On ne connaît ni sa date de naissance ni sa date de mort ! Ses premiers écrits datent de 1763 et les derniers de 1791. On dénombre 32 écrits sur les thèmes de l'agriculture et sur l'nologie. "L'expérience sur la bonification de tous les vins" fut publié pour la première fois en 1770. Notre exemplaire date de 1772, soit une deuxième édition mais en partie originale par la correction et l'augmentation de la deuxième partie, non écrite en 1770 ! Cet ouvrage est le plus fameux et le plus Recherché de Maupin. Il fut traduit en plusieurs langues et même contrefait en Suisse ! RARISSIME. Claude Durival "le jeune" (1728 - 1805) fut un économiste et agronome français d'origine lorraine, auteur d'ouvrages sur l'agronomie en Lorraine. Il est le frère de Nicolas Luton Durival, historien et de Jean-Baptiste Durival, diplomate et stratège. L'ouvage présenté est en Edition Originale et répond à la question suivante : "Quelle est la méthode de culture la plus convenable à la vigne, relativement au climat, à la température, au sol du pays messin ?". Bien complet des trois très belles planches dépliables de Yves-Dominique Collin (1753 - 1815), miniaturiste et graveur en taille-douce, fils et élève de Dominique Collin. Cet ouvrage est inconnu des grands bibliographes spécialisés ! RARISSIME. Ce livre faisait partie de la Bibliothèque culinaire de Victor Michon (voir les deux signatures manuscrites), qui fut l'un des plus grands cuisiniers du début du XXe siècle. Il fut formé aux fourneaux de sa mère. Aujourd'hui encore, le Prix Victor Michon au Concours International Gastronomique d'Arpajon. fait partie des titres dont s'honorent beaucoup de chefs "étoilés". Cuisinier des Grands, il fut le cuisinier de l'Ambassade d'Autriche - Hongrie, située à l'Hôtel Matignon à Paris au moment de la Première Guerre mondiale. Il organisa le banquet de 3 000 couvert pour les fêtes russes, le menu offert au Roi des Belges par le président Félix Faure et le déjeuner d'Isabelle II de Castille. Mais ses recettes reflètent une cuisine à la fois bourgeoise et simple. Il présida au journal « Le cuisinier français » ainsi qu'à « L'académie Culinaire de France », créée en 1883. Sa bibliothèque privée comptait les plus grands noms de la gastronomie française : Grimod de La Reynière, Vincent La Chapelle, Jules Gouffé, Brillat-Savarin, Antonin Carême, Etienne, Urbain Dubois, Escoffier et bien d'autres dont notre exemplaire ! La tomaison "1" signifie qu'il fait partie d'un ensemble "nologique" de textes rares, soit 3 livres au total, qui sont en vente dans notre boutique et sur le même site !! Très bon état de la reliure; très bon état du papier avec quelques très rares rousseurs; petit manque de papier au coin des pages 65/66 de la 2e partie du Maupin; anciennes traces de mouillure sur l'avis de l'auteur de la première partie du Maupin; très bon état des planches.
