First Edition. Signed by the author at head of Chapter 1. Octavo. Blue cloth hardcover, titled in gilt on front cover; 111pp; illus; includes index. Neat gift inscription on verso of first flyleaf; old bookplate remnant inside front cover. Foxing to prelims and title page, with a few faint spots continuing in text. Covers spotted, cover gilt dulled. In all, a Good or better copy of the somewhat uncommon first edition. Sketches of local Shenandoah Valley history, from Winchester south to Highland County. Signed.
