A letter on Buckingham Palace headed paper where at the time he was assistant private secretary and equerry to the king George V to "My Dear Horace Many thanks Wednesday 8.30pm. I shall be there - so glad you did so well for the League. Magnifique". Clive Wigram, 1st Baron Wigram, GCB, GCVO, CSI, PC, FZS (1873 - 1960) was a British Indian Army officer and courtier. He was Private Secretary to the Sovereign from 1931 to 1936. Size is 186mm x 118mm. Condition is good. Light folding crease. Paper residue to rear. Ref19257. Signed by Author(s).
