Text in English. *** Charles Bergmans' Woodies (a modern take on the Dutch clogs) were introduced in 1974 at the art manifestation 'Symposium' and became an immediate success. Thirty years later a second edition of Symposium was organised. Bergmans (by now a hugely successful shoe designer working with Ecco and Clarks amongst other companies) presented an updated version of his famous Woodies. This publication describes the history of Bergmans' designs with photographs, drawings etc. Scarce.
