Memoria presentata dall'A. all'Accademia di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti di Modena, vincitrice del premio della sezione agricoltura nel Concorso indetto nel 1843. L'A. presento' una scatola contenente i campioni del quarto e del quinto raccolti di bozzoli di bachi da seta con spiegazioni su metodi di bachicoltura: Esperienza sul calcino; Esperienze sulla non praticata ventilazione; Guarigione di 100 bachi da seta affetti da lienteria mediante immersione in un bagno di vino a 33 gradi; EsperienzaÂdi immersione di 4 bachi da seta apparentemente sani in un bagno di sapone a 24 gradi; Vantaggio del bagno di acqua fresca; Esperienze con il ghiaccio; Idee chimeriche di educare il baco da seta sulle piante dei gelsi; ecc. Piatti foderati con bella carta marmorizzata coeva. Esemplare completo ed in buone-ottime condizioni di conservazione. All'interno in ottime condizioni di conservazione dalla carta pulita e senza le macchioline di foxing spesso presenti. Prima edizione italiana, la primissima uscì in francese nel 1839, di questo celeberrimo manuale di agronomia ed economia agricola, scritta dal Barone Crud Elie Victor Benjamin (1772-1845) che si ispirò per la sua opera alla sua grande tenuta in Romagna di Massa Lombarda e Sant'Agata nella Legazione di Ferrara che fra le produzioni agricole poteva vantare barbabietole, erbe mediche, bestiame, frumento, cereali, legumi, pecore, cavalli e formaggi ecc. Proprio l'ultimo libro di 64 pagine è completamente incentrato sulla descrizione dell'attività della sua tenuta romagnola. Il volume si presenta nella traduzione del noto professore di Agraria all'Università di Perugia, di Bologna e a Jesi, nato a Reggio Emilia e morto a Roma, Antonio Codelupi. Rif. Bibl.: Fumi 3671.
