Staplebound. Unpaginated [13pp.]. 28 x 21.5 cm. Twenty-six Peace Activist groups from Vermont headed by the Burlington Peace Coalition and The Norwich Peace Center made their way by bus down to NYC to march in the Rally for Nuclear Disarmament, what was at that time the largest political demonstration in the history of the United States, with over 750,000 participants and at least 3000 from Vermont. This "book of memories" includes black and white photos with some participants names added. One of the more significant contributor to the march was The Bread and Puppet Theater of Glover, VT. As a member of the first section of the march over 1000 "puppeteers" costumed in white, carried giant figures portraying the moon mounted on a cart drawn by sheep, white clowns leading white horses, dear, Vietnamese ladies, donkeys plowing, stilt horsemen, and flags and white birds. A couple of names in the paragraphs are circled in pen or pencil. Covers lightly soiled. White photo illustrated wraps. Very good.
