Originally issued in stiff card wrappers this copy has been rebound in hardcover by the War Office with their stamp on half-title -- HM Forces library stamp [and subsequent 'withdrawn stamp' from their collection]. Housed in pictorial dust-jacket supplied by previous owner, professionally done with title on spine in reverse white lettering and years 1941 - 1945 printed in red. Jacket protected by reinforced mylar covers. Color photograph of German gun train [horse led] on front free endpaper and color photo of German transport difficulties affixed to rear free endpaper. Mylar covers are pasted to inside book covers. A very clean, square, unmarked copy. No writing, underlining or marginalia present. Covers are clean and sound, hinges strong. A very good copy in attractive, unique jacket.
