Condition: Good. 1928. First Edition. 95 pages. Attractive grey dust jacket over claret cloth covered boards with gilt. Maps across endpapers. In English. Dimensions: 19cm x 14cm x 2cm. At the age of 94, the last surviving officer present at the Defence of Lucknow, gave his account of the chaotic events in Oude (Oudh). Pages with some foxing and tanning, particularly to endpapers and textblock edges. Binding remains good and firm and there are no inscriptions. Boards have light shelf wear with only very mild tanning, although both are slightly bowed. Unclipped jacket has light wear with some tanning and foxing to surfaces, particularly the spine, but overall, a neat, clean book.
