General, overall scratches across the boards. Up to pg. 33, there are pieces of the pages (not effecting the text) missing at the top front corner. Light foxing to the endpages. Internally, contemporary previous owner's inscription, relatively moderate foxing and tanning throughout, a half dozen or so dogears, otherwise tight, clean, relatively crisp and unmarked. Nice Victorian miscellany, covering science, morality, religion, history, art, literature, and even the Laurel Hill Cemetery of Philadelphia and root beer!
