Esta pregunta, lanzada desde el prólogo de este libro, y que se nos impone por el peso que adquiere hoy la obra de Simondon, debía necesariamente encontrar en su camino a Muriel Combes. Pues su intento se revela uno de los más consistentes a la hora de comprender el alc…ance de las tesis del pensador de la individuación, y de recorrer sus impensados, es decir amplificarlo. No es este un libro cómodo. Combes tensiona en su lectura la letra de Simondon, como quien agita un líquido con el fin de descubrir sus valencias inherentes, o como quien talla la madera a fin de seguir sus vetas-fuerzas. Es decir, fiel a Simondon con el método de Simondon, busca reunir la letra con el espíritu, tensionarlas juntas, para inscribir una fidelidad rebelde, o una respetuosa infidelidad. Como Simondon no es Uno, como no podría serlo, conviven en él varios, y sus apuestas ético-políticas (que acompañan su filosofía) son también varias. Tenemos, dice Combes, junto al pensador-de- la-técnica, reformador de la educación, regulador de un modo de relación con las máquinas, el Simondon de lo transindividual, de la expresión en lo colectivo de la carga de ser preindividual que somos (exceso y no falta) y que nos impide cerrarnos en un individuo, que nos empuja a la transformación incesante, al afectar y ser afectado. Combes previene que el primero, sin el segundo, corre el peligro de "normar lo inmanente". Y en un punto no se trata de elegir, ya que ambos "simondones" coexisten en Simondon, pero en otro, siempre se trata de elegir, ya que la lectura es acción sobre nosotros mismos, modo de vida. Técnica y deseo, técnica y modo de vida, no hay relación que sea hoy más apremiante (pregnante y alienante), y es esto lo que podemos pensar a través de Simondon, con Muriel Combes, en un sentido liberador. páginas/pasges.
