Black cloth boards with mild wear at corner tips. Above the Admiral's signature, someone has written in a small tight hand, "Washington D.C., 15 Nov. 1945" and below the signature, "The Admiral passed away at Norfolk 3 Feb., 1947". Previous owner name of George Sheets in ink on half-title page. A paper clip indention at top of first few pages, and significant browning to title page, where an article on the Admiral had been attached. Binding is sound, contents clean. 133 pages.
