It ironically relates the grievances addressed to Western "Barbarians" by Chinese "Barbarians" through 4 fictional accounts entitled: Opinions of an Enlightened Scholar, The Discovery of Europe by a Son of Han, Opinions of an Aggressive Scholar, Opinions of a Boxer.
