Printed Poster. Condition: Near Fine. First Edition. One 20 x 13" heavy foil-coated paper sheet screenprinted recto only, 1 color illustration. Designed by Environmental Communications. This is the luxe, silkscreen-over-silver-foil-substrate poster issued by Environmental Communications in conjunction with their participation as part of the intriguing 1977 Los Angeles County Museum of Art show, "California: 5 Footnotes to Modern Art History." Their contribution was "Environmental Communications Looks at Los Angeles", a sprawling multi-media exhibition of hundreds of the free-form media cooperative's contemporary photographs of Southern California's recent architecture, murals, signage, and outdoor graphics. The Museum's catalogue included Tom Wolfe's essay on the firm entitled "Chester Gould Versus Roy Lichtenstein." A bright, shiny, most handsome example of this exceedingly uncommon poster depicting an aerial view of LA's iconic downtown freeway interchange showing a few minor nicks and scuffs. It will be mailed in a poster tube. Exhibition Poster.
