Hardcover. Condition: Good+. Boards in black cloth with title stamped on front cover. Modest wear to extremities; bit of soiling to cloth. Interior is unmarked and generally clean. Errata slip tipped in. 21 illustrated plates, many being portraits and family group photos. 90, [2] pages. A Mason genealogy and family history with a collection of biographies, primarily covering the descendants of Enoch and Elizabeth Mason. The family originated with Hugh Mason (1606-1678), who immigrated from England in 1634 and settled in Watertown, Massachusetts. The family remained in Watertown for several generation, up to through Hugh's great-great grandson, the aforementioned Enoch Mason (1764-1845) and his wife Elizabeth (Bisco) Mason. Enoch and Elizabeth moved from Watertown to New York state where many of their descendants lived, with quite a few living in Steuben County. Some descendants lived in Michigan and Iowa. Compiled by Sylvester Shemway Mason (1847-1932), grandson of Enoch Mason.
