Blake Mfg Steam Pumping Machinery, Inside back: Andrews Folding Beds, Inside Front: Commercial Union Insurance, and additional full-page ads for: Bent and Bush Hatters and military furnishers, Fitchburg Railroad, Thomas Groom Stationers, Boston Belting and Rubber Goods, Bovinine beef and mutton concentrate, Shore Line Route (Boston to New York Railroad), Blue Cross Pickles, and the Great Rock Island and Albert Lees Routes (railroad). This little booklet offers 'The Lead,' 'General Rules,' and 'Practical Hints.' 64mo (3 3/4" tall x 2 1/2" wide), 24 pages, thread saddle stitch, stiff printed wraps. A very good, clean neat copy overall with minor shelf wear, and some exterior soiling--a spot of staining or foxing to the cover fore-margin and fore-edge and spine (probably old finger staining), fore-edge stain extends throughout but at the fore-margin only, text not damaged, paper moderately yellowed but not fragile. A unique item!

Shenton, from a drawing by A. Cooper. Though the title page cites David Bogue as the publisher, the front cover has the publisher as Geo. Routledge and the title as "A Memoir of the Duke of Wellington". Published before the Duke of Wellington's death in 1852.
