Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. First Edition (SD). 'Unposed Portraits; action shots compiled by Jack Montgomery honoring the Kerouac Conference at Naropa Institute'. My copy seems to have a different ISBN (0918704042) than the other books for sale. Maybe that's because it is part of an unstated, un-numbered Limited Edition. Not Sure. On the copyright page it reads 'Designed by John McBride & printed in the USA 1000 copies of which 100 cloth (10 reserved)'. This Hardcover 1982 edition is very rare. There are only two other hardcovers that I was able to find for sale on the Internet. Both of those are identified as 'one of 99 numbered copies signed by Jack Montgomery'. My copy is not one of these. It is not signed or numbered. So, oddly enough, once listed mine will be the Only unsigned hardcover, it being part of an edition of 100. I've priced it dramatically below the other two hardcovers ($145.00 & $150.00). There are three photographs in the book and the last page is a poem titled 'Snowmelt From Yesteryears' apparently written by Jack Montgomery. You can see my copy in the photographs provided. The covers have very little to no wear, small creases to the right and left of the top edge of the spine. However, off the left middle edge on the rear cover there are around seven small spots of soiling (see picture). The spine is very slightly slanted forward. The book is very solidly bound. The pages are tight. There are a few pinpricks on the frontispiece next to the gutter. There are no cracks or spaces anywhere in the book. The aforementioned cover creases probably resulted from a bump. It's left a small inconsequential crease off the top edge of the pages at the gutter. There are couple of small dust stains on the top page edge and one larger light one on the middle page edge (It does not ever reach onto any actual page). One of the smaller top edge ones just barely peeks over the top edge of some of the latter pages (see last photo, it is so barely you'll have to look hard to see it). There are a few slivers of a stain off the edges of the inside covers and end papers. The pages in the book are exceptionally clean. I didn't see any instances of soiling. They are also quite bright and they are in excellent condition without any creases or dogeared corners. No one has written their name or anything else anywhere in this book. There aren't any markings or attachments. No other book for sale has a dust jacket. I'm pretty sure it was published without one. The book is 47 pages long. There are short chapters by Mike McGrady, Gerald Nicosia, Walter Gutman, Robert E. Boles, 'A Lowellite'. Giulia Niccolai, Charles Efthimious Jarvis, Carl Adkins, and Jim Christy. A few of the chapter titles: Kerouac's Northport Gang, My Memories of Jack Kerouac, Footnotes from Lowell, Lunch with Jack Kerouac in Rome, Off the road for good.
