An 19th print from the early 1960s of Pocket Books edition, # 6207, of an early 1940s humorous novel. "The ribald story of a shy millionaire who married a witch." One of the inspirations, along with Bell, Book and Candle, for the TV series Bewitched. GGA cover. Light edge wear to the covers with a small closed tear at the center of the fore edge of the back cover. Tight binding. Mild spine lean. Light browning to the pages. A very good copy.

The cover has red cloth with yellow lettering and an illustration. 21 chapters; b/w illustrations. The front endpaper has an owner's name and a pasted down sheet of reviews of this title. DJ: About a third of the top margin of the back panel is missing; this section also has a large stain. Eight chips elsewhere are 1/8 in. to a linear 1 1/4 in. Eight closed tears are 1/8 in. to 1 in.
