" This is copy no. 87. Staple-bound with thick grey paper wrappers. The first 125 pages are devoted to the Wright novel, the final 25 pages to Constance Webb's notes. Toning to edges of cover; small stain near spine. "This final section of Wright's autobiography "Black Boy" was dropped from the original publication. According to Quill & Brush, Wright gave one of his eventual biographers, Constance Webb, permission to publish this second part of his autobiography. Webb's biography of Wright was not published until 1968. Rare."-pba.
