Text by Jose Donoso. Matching hard board slipcase. Printed on archival, thick uncoated stock paper in the United States to the highest standards. It's a beautiful book all in all. Nine short stories in the author's characteristically Latin-American/Modernist/Post-Modernist identifiable style. "Extraordinarily sophisticated, in perfect control of time dissolves, contradictory voices, gritty realism, and hallucinatory figures" (Publisher's blurb). As such, this volume is a worthy companion to Jose Donoso's greatest work, "That Obscene Bird of Night", as well as a brilliant introduction to ALL of his other work now available in English. An absolute "must-have" title for Jose Donoso collectors. This is a copy of the Limited Slipcased Edition of 200 numbered and signed copies, indicated/numbered as such on the Back Limitation Page. It is very boldly and beautifully signed in blue ink-pen by Jose Donoso. This title is a great collection.
