Gilt title and decoration to spine. Points include 40 pages of publisher's catalogue at rear dated September, 1907; and "be be" on final line of p. 117. Cloth slightly worn at edges, corners bumped with one corner cloth split. Spine slightly sunned. Browning as per usual to inside. No foxing. A very good copy of this rare first edition. The other volume is a limited edition of the play, The Secret Agent, A Drama of Three Acts, signed by Conrad. 1/3 paper vellum over boards with light blue pastedown. Privately printed for subscribers only by T. Werner Laurie Ltd, London, 1923. Limited second English edition this is # 642 of 1,000 copies. Light blue endpapers. On brilliantly white, thick, ragged edged paper. Fontis portrait photograph by Malcom Arbuthnot. Some wear to edges and one corner cloth has split. Spine sunned with some sunning to top front and back boards. Inside very clean and tight. A unique set of two rare editions of one of Conrad's most well known titles.
