Not Dated [1868 BL] The Irish Brigade was an infantry brigade, consisting predominantly of Irish Americans, that served in the Union Army in the American Civil War. The author served with Sherman in Georgia. Meagher's Zouaves at Bull Run; his horse killed under him Battle of Chancellorsville; Irish Brigade evolved from New York S. Militia 69th. CONDITION Green cloth with blind embossed borders to bds, bright Gilt spine title with Gild Clover designs, nice and clean covers, unworn, 392 pages with extensive index of people, events and casualties. Cop is very bright and crisp though front end page has been neatly removed, loss to top of title page and two others folded down at top cnrs. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
