UK hardback first impression. Good overall with knocks to corners and a surface stain to bottom edge of front cover. The jacket is Fair only with creasing and staining, mainly to front panel.

The front free endpaper has been removed and there are tape marks to the front and rear endpapers with a number in pen on the front pastedown. The front and rear pastedowns also have a little surface damage where labels have been removed. The boards some surface staining and fading to the spine. There is a spine lean and the page edges are browned. The pages are slightly browned with quite heavy browning to the half-title page and the final page of the text. Small number to the title page and there are a few small stains through the book but the pages are otherwise generally unmarked. No jacket. First printing.
