The Canadian Manufacturers' Association, founded 1871, was incorporated by Act of Parliament 1902 to promote Canadian industries and to further the interests of Canadian manufacturers and exporters. The CMA's 1905 trip to Europe included sightseeing at Windsor Castle (including a brief audience with Edward VII), a reception with the London Chamber of Commerce, the Royal Ascot, industrial centres such as Birmingham, Sheffield, Liverpool, a brief excursion to Edinburgh and several days in Paris.

Brown suede binding with color Canada crest (1" X 1 1/2"tall) on center of front cover. Brown satin inside front and back cover. Inscription signed by one of the Editors on front flyleaf "To Mr. J.J. Ebbons with the sincere regards of his friend John A Cooper January 1906" Passenger list + thoes who joined the party in London - last few pages. 119PP. Content clean, bright and sund. A crease along the first (blank) page, o/w No Inscriptions or Marks. 120 pp. A tissue guarded b/w portrait frontispiece of William Kerr George Esq. , President of the Canadian Manufacturers Association 1904-5. The Programme of the Tour includes: - 'The Ocean Voyage on the Allan Liner 'Victorian' '; The Ten Days in London - including Windsor Castle and the Royal Family', Ascot , Woolwich, Battle Abbey, (! ) etc , etc; 'The Provincial Tour' - including Wallsall, Dudley, Lichfield, Birmingham, Sheffield Leeds, Bradford, Liverpool, Newcastle -on-Tyne, Edinburgh - then 'Back to London' and a 'Visit to Paris' (! ). Plus Speeches, Addresses and Editorial. List of Passengers on the 'Victorian' - and a list of others who joined the party in London. This was a Very Large Party of some 278 persons! Some lovely period photos - a lot of 'personages' but also of the Liner - and its interior - that the CMA sailed on, The 'Street Cars' (Trams) of Sheffield, a London and North-Western Train, The Western Dock, 'Normanhurst - A 'Typical' Country Residence (!
