Hemingway, Ernest Death in the Afternoon Charles Scribner's Sons, New York, 1932. First Edition, First Printing with the publisher's seal and "A" printed on the copyright page. An attractive First Issue dustjacket that has the publisher's $3.50 p (illustrator). Handsomely bound in the publisher's original black cloth with gold lettering with scattered flecking and leeching to the top 1" of the cloth of the front panel. Spine dulled. The original dust jacket has the price of $3.50 and has large pieces missing at the top and bottom of the spine ends. The front fold is separated and the rear fold has been professionally strengthened. There is tape residue along the top edge of the rear panel at the verso. A good only jacket in a very good copy of the book. First Edition with the "A" and the Scriber's Seal on the copyright page.
