Condition: Very Good. New York: J.H. Sears & Company, Inc., 1928. First Edition. Octavo. 177 pp. Black cloth stamped in purple. No dust jacket. Worn along edges with some fraying and rubbed along spine. Binding is sound, ownership inscription to front free endpaper, pages otherwise unmarked. Story of Rendinell's experience with the 6th Marines. As his co-author Pattullo writes in the preface, "A lesser man than Joe would have surrendered to the urge to 'write pretty'. His diary sweeps along like Julius Caesar.".
