Part of the series Phoenix Living Poets which was a collection of slim books of poetry published from 1960 until 1983 by Chatto and Windus Ltd. The series had its origins in the Hogarth Press. Some of the covers were designed by Enid Marx, known for her patterned textile and book jacket designs, and this copy suggests it is one of them. Tan coloured cloth boards with gilt titling to spine. No previous ownerâs name or inscription. A small tear to the front hinge (1.25 cms). Contents are clean and unmarked. Some foxing to the top edge of the page-block but this has not spread to the interior. Price-clipped DJ has small faint red mark to front panel (see photo) but is in otherwise vg condition. All proceeds of sale go to LOROS, a Hospice Charity serving Leicestershire and Rutland.
