Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. Does your mum appear behind you in complete silence the second you touch something you shouldn't? Can she detect a lie before you've finished forming it in your brain? Does she know you're cold before you know you're cold? This book celebrates the extraordinary, slightly terrifying abilities…that all mums seem to possess. From supersonic snack detection and instant teleportation to crisis commander mode and archival memory that recalls something you did in 2009 during today's argument, every chapter explores a different documented superpower.Inside you'll discover: How she hears contraband packaging through walls, closed doors, and the fabric of reality itselfThe science behind her ability to materialise exactly where nonsense is happeningWhy five minutes means now and "we're leaving" means you should already be in the carHer laser glare that stops chaos without a single wordThe culinary regeneration that creates full meals from half a carrot and determinationHow she remembers everything you've ever done wrong with dates, times, and witnessesPerfect for Mother's Day, birthdays, or any occasion when you want to say "I see you, I know what you are, and I'm slightly terrified but mostly grateful." Your mum will laugh, nod knowingly at every page, and probably mention something you got slightly wrong.A gift that says: "Thank you for being impossible, extraordinary, and capable of hearing me open chocolate from three rooms away."Because mums aren't just parents. The Glenrothes distillery is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky distillery located in the town of Rothes in the Speyside region of Scotland. The distillery sits beside the Burn of Rothes, in a glen on the edge of… the town. After a lengthy process of assessment, a small number of single casks were selected as being worthy of being bottled as The Glenrothes. The first of these casks to be bottled was the Single Cask 1970 #10573. The spirit was distilled on July 6th 1970. Cask #10573, an ex-bourbon hogshead, yielded just 179 bottles at a natural strength of 40.6% alcohol by volume. It was transferred to glass on April 2nd 2012. The bottles were sold in a crystal decanter, with a hand engraved brass collar and stopper made from the cask it was matured in, and presented in a leather case with an accompanying leather-bound book. This book provides an account of the Glenrothes Distillery and Cask #10573. After the prologue, it contains the following six sections: Fire, Prohibition and Divine Intervention by tom Bruce-Gardyne; Spirits of Rothes by Charles MacLean; Two Sides of a Serious Business by Dominic Roskrow; A Journey for the Senses by Martine Nouet; The Magical Properties of Oak by Dave Broom; Handcrafted by Design by Marcin Miller. The book is bound in the original full leather boards with blind-stamped titling on the front board. The book is in excellent condition with a little light scuffing to the leather. The contents are tight and clean with no inscription.
