Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. First Edition; First Printing. Craddock was the pseudonym of Mary Noailles Murfree, a notable Appalacian author in the late 19th century. This was her fourth book. This first edition copy is very good with the forner owner's bookplate on the front pastedown and his name on the title page. Corners are slightly bumped and there is a little wear to the head and foot of the spine. Boards are green with black titles and decorations that match others of her books.Gilt on the spine is somewhat faded Pages are lightly tanned. ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 308, 12 ads pages.
