    Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. No Jacket. sm 8vo, 146 pp. Bound in durable paper covers. History of the pre-Civil war and Civil War period, focusing the history of US military drum corps and the drums themselves, grouped by region: New England, Mid-Atlantic, Western, Naval and Marine Corps, and Confederate States. Includes Manual for Drumming including sheet music, Directory, Epilogue. Other sources indicate that 1000 copies were printed, issued in soft covers, with some copies additionally bound in hard covers. There is no limitation of copies mentioned in this copy. CONDITION: Appears unread. Covers have a few minor marks. Previous owner's signature on first fep. Also freehand printed title of "DRUMS" on square spine. Included is a typed letter in its original envelope, from Fred Benkovic, Pabst Brewing Co, to Capt. Gary Perkins, (previous owner of this book) regarding additional information on drum heads.
