She has captured the humour and optimism of the early days, and produced a very reliable account of how the district evolved. This book enables us to reflect on the past as we enjoy the present; to develop a sense of history; and to realise that the efforts and virtues of ordinary men and women make a good community. Overall an excellent and neat copy of the book.
