The songs, in English, are not for children, but tell of unrequited love and unfaithful lovers. Covers slightly dusty and faintly foxed, 5 mm (¼") scrape to edge of plate on upper cover, small pale water stain to lower corner of upper cover, 60 x 15 mm deep, (2" x ¾") maximum, 4 minute pink stains, corners very slightly scuffed, tiny crease at top edge of upper cover, repeated at top of pages. The pages are a bit discoloured and the corners slightly bumped. These last four prints are hand coloured in red by the owner. The strange thing is that this is done according to the later printed edition for the Dutch version.
