Large ex-college-library octavo bound in original dark blue cloth with gilt titles bright to spine, where we also find a Dewey Decimal number painted in white. 1966 bookplate of the Southampton University Library to front pastedown, stamped in red "Withdrawn" to facing FFE. NO edge stampings. Small library rubber-stamp to copyright page, otherwise free of library markings although there is a positively fetching little card-holder glued to the rear pastedown. States "First published in 1913." All B&W plates present & attached as called for. Although it is not called for in the list of illustrations, the important quintuple-folded map of the island is also present and firmly attached just before the Index. 358 pp. Reduced from $500. As with all our items priced higher than $90, this item will be shipped "signature required.".
